Annual Pond Tours

THE 2011 ANNUAL POND TOUR

The Club's 20th Annual Pond Tour will take place on Saturday, July 16th, 2011 from 9 am to 4 pm. We are looking forward to a very interesting tour with six beautiful ponds. As always, the ponds will be selected to show a variety of sizes, surround and landscaping treatments, filtration systems and fish populations. The addresses for this year's ponds will be posted on this site about June 15th. You may start at any pond although most visitors find it works best to start at either end and follow the prescribed route.

The 2010 tour was a spectacularly successful event with perfect weather and more than 300 visitors. The star of the show was a 33,000 gallon pond in Monte Sereno that was loaded with interesting and colorful fish. A big reason for the excellent attendance was the great advance publicity provided by the San Jose Mercury News, the Silicon Valley Community Newspaper organization (9 local papers) and many others. We are enormously grateful to our friends in the media who did so much to make the public aware of this event.

As dedicated Koi & Watergarden enthusiasts, we very much appreciate the businesses that supply the variety of things we need to pursue our hobby. We also benefit from their generosity in placing ads in our publications. We ask our Pond tour guests to patronize our supporting businesses whenever possible.
